The NY Yankees are clearly looking to get back on track with the offer sheet they gave CC Sabathia. Offering him $140M is definitely going to make CC think about it. Sabathia has stated he would rather stay in the National League but that is a lot of money to give up.

Sabathia alone will not make all the difference for the Yankees to take the Red Sox down we still have a better rounded team.

The Red Sox coaches are a hot commodity because we have built a strong staff and they have playoff experience which teams are looking for. Varitek is a key component to the Red Sox success because of what he gives us behind the plate. He knows how to call a game and makes our pitching staff better but it's time to move on. How much longer do we have the whole in our line up.
